Sometimes in Florida, you just have to announce that it's fall, because it sure doesn't feel like it outside (high 80's, super humid, sweat, hurricanes, etc.)
So what do you do to remind yourself of the Autumn season? Well, decorating the house can help. Kate loves repositioning this plastic skeleton. This year we had him juggling his head and meditating. She changed his position every week!
These pictures show some more of our Halloween decor, but they are also showing our amazing Hurricane proof doors that finally got painted and are completely finished. Hooray!
The decorations at the elementary library and all the seasonal children's books also help put me in the mood for fall!
Making homemade bread and soup also helps, even though, like I said, it's still in the upper 80's and blazing hot outside. We'll just crank the AC to make it feel a little cooler. . . 😏
General Conference is also another fun event that helps remind me of the time of year. Love how Kate always gives us a picture on the calendar, to let us know of the next upcoming event.
I also love how Aly got to watch General Conference while at work in Utah. 😄
One thing I do love about October is that it starts to get a "little" cooler (low 80's) in the evenings, so you can get out on walks and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
Meanwhile, warmer temperatures mean that we're still able to do outdoor activities for Young Womens. Mini Golfing at "Goofy Golf"? Yes, please.
A hole in one! We're pros. 😊
Hmm . . . a pool party and outdoor Halloween movie for a Young Women's activity . . . only in October in Florida. 😁 Love getting together with these amazing young women!
