The Last 8 Weeks - Analise

The last few weeks of school were full of a lot of fun activities for Analise - and I got t be a part of a lot of them with her!

The 2nd Grade went on a field trip to the science museum where they got to do a bunch of experiments and make slime - you can't beat that! The kids loved making these huge bubbles and shocking themselves with static electricity. Gotta love it.

Analise was also able to show off some of her many talents.  Here are a couple of her pieces of artwork on display for "The Evening of the Arts."  I especially love her silhouette - I can definitely see the resemblance. :)

The Second Grade put on a performance "All About Seuss" which was a musical with tons of songs based on Doctor Seuss books (Green Eggs and Ham, Oh The Thinks You Can Think, the Lorax, etc.).  It was so cute and they all had these gloves that glowed in the dark for some of the numbers.  I loved it.
Analise was #12 in running out of the entire 2nd Grade for Mile Club this year. She is one speedy little girl!  She was able to show off her speed and agility at Field Day.  She did awesome in the "Big Foot Race" and her class won the tug of war for the entire 2nd grade.  Those kids are tough!!

Here are the girls in Analise's class - a fun group.
And let's not forget the last event for field day: the leaky bucket. The perfect end to cool everyone off after running around in that hot sun!

Analise's class had an end of the year Luau which was a blast.  There was coconut bowling, a hula hooping contest, pin the feathers on the flamingo, a limbo contest, and of course lots of food.  These kids are spoiled rotten.  They also ended the year with a game day, movie day, read-a-thon, and signing each other's class shirts and yearbooks the last day of school.  So yeah, pretty much the whole last week was a wash.  I know Analise enjoyed her year as a Leighton Leopard.  I can't wait to see what 3rd Grade has in store!

And for the Grand Finale, we attended Analise's first piano recital.  She was so excited and sounded great.  It was awesome for the whole family to be able to go and cheer her on.  (See the video below.)
