On September 1st I started my master's degree program, a Master's of Science in Management and Leadership, with WGU. Finally, after an almost 2-year journey of researching universities, master's programs, beginning the pre-requisites for one and then changing my mind and choosing another, it was finally time to begin!!! It has been an adjustment getting back into the academic scene, setting aside time for school, and staying motivated. But so far, I really like it. I still don't know exactly where this journey is going to take me, but thus far I am really enjoying learning and the chance to progress and develop new talents.
Over Labor Day, our family decided to explore this chunk of Florida a bit more by checking out the Kennedy Space Center. It was nice to have a family day to spend together!

In September, Chris also helped Kylie pick out a new bike so that she could ride her bike to school every day. No more bus rides for her! She loves her new bike and I love that we are close to her school. The bike looks good on her! (Also, Kylie has loved using her new bike to explore the base, its many parks, and find out where her friends live!)
Speaking of Friends, Kylie of course wasted no time finding a bunch of fun friends. Love that girl's fun-loving, tender heart.
Another thing we tried in September was hosting a "Not Homecoming" party at our house to help the girls get to know the youth in the ward. It was fun seeing everyone dressed up. We did dinner, dancing, and games. Everyone seemed to have a really good time. It definitely broke the ice and the girls started getting invites to hang out after that. Success!
Young Women's has also been fun times with Karaoke nights, Thrifting Halloween Dynamic Duo costumes, Healthy Snacks & Smoothies, Zumba, and more!
In addition, Kate joined Drama Club as part of the set crew. Proud of her for putting herself out there.
