So, as we know, just because there are pandemics and deployments and whatever, life doesn't stop happening. And so it was this time. First of all, in Young Women's we had recently started having some in person activities a couple of times a month. We did a Family Feud game activity and floating Turkey Creek. (We also floated Turkey Creek another day with some friends)
Weekly pool parties continued to be a thing, which, frankly, has saved all of our sanity during this pandemic.
I took over Chris' laptop and the desk we set up for him in our bedroom as I will now be moving towards getting a Master's Degree in Mathematics Education (Secondary) from Western Governor's University. It's exciting and nerve-wracking all at the same time.
My friend came and helped me tame the wild jungle that was one side of my house. We really had to trim the bushes down to their bare bones, but they had been neglected for so long. This is really for the best and they will look so much better when they grow back in.
We had our first sacrament meeting at a friend's home. So grateful for good friends - and that the church of Jesus Christ is true, no matter where you are.
Kate had her actual birthday, so we celebrated by taking her and some friends to get Froyo - delish!
Meanwhile, Lise was having the time of her life celebrating her birthday in Utah. She was hanging out and sleeping over with cousins, staying in Aly's apartment, hiking, getting Acai bowls, having a blast at Lake Powell (Lise had her first time wake boarding and nailed it! She crossed the wake and everything!!!) and celebrating the 4th of July O'Gwin style. It sounded like a blast.

Yeah . . . life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it!
