Chris' Homecoming

**Note: For some reason this post wasn't showing up on my blog so I'm going to try and re-post it.  Sorry if you get it twice! **

So, we were all very excited for Chris' return.  Here's a video that Lise and Kate had me send to Chris the week before he came home to let him know they were "pumped" for him to come home.

Also, the girls at the last minute decided to go along with my super "amazing" idea to have a "balloon head, stick figure" poster of the family to welcome him home.  So cool and so creepy at the same time.

This time around we ended up picking Chris up at the airport in Pensacola.  So, so fun to see him!  Analise and Kate had made their own welcome home posters and cookies, and we made Chris an "I love my Daddy because" jar where the girls wrote on strips of paper all the things they love about having their dad home.

The next few days were awesome, and very entertaining, as Chris got over his jet lag.  And the four weeks we've had him home have been great!  Since we're moving, Chris' work schedule has been super lax and that has been wonderful!!  It's been busy as we're prepping to move and with all the girl's activities, but there has also been time to go out to lunch, read books, go running (Chris is training for a marathon), go on dates - whoo hoo! - and just relax together - so, so needed!

Chris has also inadvertently turned into a "Bronie" (A guy who watches "My Little Pony"), by chilling out and watching shows with Kylie on the couch.  But hey, they've got good messages on friendship, so what's not to love, right?  And finally, the other present waiting for Chris when he got home was the gun of his dreams that he got an awesome deal on while he was deployed.  Look at the smile on that face!  That's the guy we know and love.  So glad to have you home!
